This event was first introduced as Intercultural activity focused on Migration (funfair) under the governing body of OMANIAE vzw (Belgium) in August 2015. The elected bodies had a vision to create a major event that would become an outstanding yearly program focused on curbing the irregularities associated to immigration.
8 out of 10 among the youth in Ghana are potentially inspired to irregularly migrate. Their aspiration of migrating associated to the negative influence from friends and families abroad. The 65% who survive this journey were first hand having the impression about Europe been paradise. They are the hope of Africa instead of Europe but the lies that flows about the life in Europe makes them to have unrealistic expectation rendering many to be killed, raped and ripped off during the desert and sea journey.
This program brings together vibrant academics with expertise on Migration. Through to 2015 and 2016, these events brought people from diverse nationality to brainstorm and secure a direct passage to ease irregular migration.
