Overview

Built from 1980 to 1986 and named in honor of Jacob Javits, United States Senator from New York, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, also known as the Javits Center, is a large convention center and conference center located in New York, in the borough of Manhattan. It has since undergone various expansions with the most recent expansion completed in 2021 adding 111,500m2 to the building.

Managed by the New York Convention Center Operating Corporation (NYCCOC), a public benefit corporation, it hosts over 100 trade shows each year and other successful events of all shapes and sizes. It is also touted as one of the busiest convention centers in the United States.
