Images are their words. They produce them or borrow them, it's not just the gesture that shapes the work of artists, but rather the notion of activation. Appropriating anonymous images, exiting their production context, activating in the field of art, sharing with the public by offering a new reading, artists engaged in misappropriation of images.
Contamination of the vernacular image is now widespread. An artist Agnès Geoffray, and a photography historian, Julie Jones, came together to listen this practice. Exposure, "There is another," reveals the images routes - its nature changes, value, changing its practices. It pays tribute to a generation of artists who engages in the collection and revival of forgotten images, borrowed from others.
