The Joint Annual Meeting of the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) and theSociety for Classical Studies(SCS) (formerly known as the American Philological Association) is hitting the road and heading to the French Quarter. The AIA Academic Program alone is offering an additional 19 sessions this year. A Sunday mid-day session block has been added to accommodate the expanded programs. Sessions exploring artifacts, art, social systems, fashion, cooking vessels, trade networks, shipwrecks, architecture, inscriptions, and archaeological research methods of the classical and New World will be offered.
